We appreciated the natural lighting in our room. Good restaurant available in the hotel. Comfortable location, reasonable prices;)))
-
Near subway station and very close to Chinatown and Little Italy, it was clean. reasonable value for money!
-
Excellent location, close to many Chinatown and soho restaurants. The price was really good

We discovered a bed bug on the pillow! This was SATURDAY morning. The response was to move us to a room directly below the one we were in. My son took a video of it after I put the pillow in the shower area. The front desk lady took the pillow with her after I told her to. We did not receive a comp for the room or a call back from the Manager. The front desk person did not provide customer service to our satisfaction. She also promised to contact the Manager. The Manager, Jim Cohen, did not contact us. We wrote to the the hotel via their website. NO response. After all of this, they charged my credit card the FULL amount for 4 days. We only stayed one night. At this point, on MONDAY, we regret to inform him that a video of the bed bug that was on my son's pillow will be added to the review websites and we will be visiting the hotel to let everyone there know what happened. This is not acceptable customer service. STAY AWAY from this hotel.

I arrived to a very small, cold and uninviting reception area, which is off a very unsavory looking area of Canal Street. The receptionist stood behind what looked like a small fast food checkout counter. She was far from friendly. And then, i noticed the only other two folks in the lobby seemingly to me doing a drug deal. I defaulted on my one night guarantee and walked out.

As already mentioned the main reason to stay at this hotel was the location...
A mistake done by me, when doing the booking, I assumed that the price for 2 nights as given 350.00 was included the taxes(the web-site Booked.net was not very clear so I ended continuing with the booking... Also for this value it should at least offer a cup of coffee as appreciation, but not even the bottle of water had been replaced into our room... meaning if you stay more than a day be happy only with one bottle of water..

great location, friendly staff, clean modern room, would most certainly recomend to friends and family.
ice machine in basement, rooms are small easy to stub toes on furniture

The staff was very friendly and answered questions eagerly. The staff also tried to resolve any problems quickly. The location was ideal for getting someplace else....it is close to Little Italy, Chinatown, SOHO, and TriBeCa and access to the subways could not be any better.
The Internet is free but coverage is spotty. I was able to go downstairs and use my laptop there but if I were in NY for business, it would not have worked. The rooms are small but adequate if all one does is sleep but not large enough to work. Breakfast is not served in the hotel though restaurants are reasonably close.
-
location excellent nice decorations beds excellent even though on main street rooms quiet
rooms are a bit small! could do with some more water in the shower
-
Great location staff exceptional and friendly
nothing
-
The location, able to walk to places or take the subway which was right out the door and we felt safe using it. Never had to take a cab because of location. Lots of nearby places to explore.
The noise, which we had read about, and still booked anyway, since we wanted the location. There are vendors with stalls and people hanging out in the area but no one ever bothered us.
-
The unresponsive front desk - not answering phone calls
-
Inexpensive for NYC, very cool design, staff was great, very close to subway.
The Canal & Broadway intersection is a low point of the surrounding neighborhood. Extremely loud traffic all night, lots of people hanging around on street corners.
-
The sheets and blanket are good. The location is good, It's comfy. It's clean. Worth the price.
It's noisy, the heater was not working, the water flow in the shower is too low and too spread out. The glass window was dirty. Room is too tiny.

Cleanliness location
one of the girls on reception was very unfriendly
